Schools and Home-Ed Writing Competition for Kids

We've teamed up with the RNLI to create a super-adventurous short story and poetry competition to inspire children to write, whilst thinking about the importance of water safety.

The writing competition is open to Schools and Home-Educated Children in Dorset, with FREE educator resources to help you along.

Prizes

To encourage the children to write, we've got some incredible prizes for the winners:

•A tour of the RNLI Support Centre in Poole.

•Storm Force goodies.

•A celebration event at the Bournemouth Writing Festival on Saturday 26th April 2025 at Patch (1st Floor of Bobbys), which is the venue for our children's activities during the festival

•Certificates for the winners and runner-ups
