We Made the News (And Took Our Clothes Off Doing It!) – The Bournemouth Writing Festival’s Naked Writing Workshop Goes National

As featured on Have I Got News For You on Friday 11th April on BBC1 primetime

It’s not every day a writing festival makes BBC Breakfast, the Sunday Express, and gets a shoutout on BBC1’s Have I Got News For You — but that’s exactly what happened when we announced our Naked Writing Workshop with British Naturism.

Yes, it’s real.Yes, it’s happening soon. And yes, it’s part of the Bournemouth Writing Festival — not Bournemouth Library as HIGNFY or the Bournemouth Echo thought.

A cheeky mention on BBC Breakfast on Sunday 6th April

A Festival That Dares to Be Different

At the Bournemouth Writing Festival, we believe writing should be bold, freeing, and inclusive — and that’s exactly what inspired our collaboration with British Naturism. The Naked Writing Workshop, taking place on Wednesday 23rd April, invites participants to explore body positivity, creativity, and self-expression in a clothing-optional setting.

Led by poet Jon Seagrave, this joyful, respectful event has sparked national conversation — and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

As Seen On…
